It's soccer, football and dance time

Ivan's football coach from last year called to see if he wanted to play again on the same team so we were pretty excited about that. Ivan loves football and we think he's pretty good at it. He could play in the backyard all day long. The last little bit some older boys in our neighborhood have been playing at our park and they let him play. He loves it.

When he's in the backyard with Micah he plays so hard and is awesome. For some reason Ivan's got this mental block when he gets to practice. It's pretty discouraging as I watch him practice and can see that he's thinking too hard or he's too nervous about disappointing the coach or I don't know what it is, but he seems like a totally different kid at his practices and games than at home. It kinda makes me sad. HOWEVER we still love watching him play

His coach LOVES it and gets so into it. They made it to the finals. He was like a kid in a candy store. They lost the championship game.

Then little miss Emery started ballet. We put her in a studio close to us with two other little neighborhood girls. It's pretty cute

and pretty official. They have to wear black leotard, pink tights and hair in a bun each week.

And then of course we have to have her take from Aunt Jamie. She's been asking all summer when Jamie's dance would start. She gets to do tap and its excited about it.

And little Jack is just blossoming with soccer.  He loves it and is doing so good.

Ivan's soccer team is struggling a little bit. They've pretty much been undefeated since he started 3 or 4 yrs ago. They are getting their butts whooped this year. This is the first year they play with a goalie and play positions. It's taking a little getting used to.

We love it all!

  1. Man, Ivan is stretching out like crazy. He is so tall. And Emery looks so sweet in her ballet outfit. We've been looking into some Irish dance classes for the girls but they're like 20 minutes away and we're lazy with the newborn, you know? (Jack, you look good too.) I love you see you post still, Becca. I like blogs better than FB, but no one else does.
