March

*When the Francom girls come over they LOVE to get the sand out.  The three of them can spend hours in it. I like them to play in it, I don't like the clean up.

*Build a bear. Instead of souvenirs from Hawaii I guess we decided to do Build a Bear for the girls and money for the boys. Not sure why. 

*Jared and Jensen made papiermache heads for Ivan and Jack for Christmas. Kate is wearing them

*Have I ever posted a picture of the door decoration I use and reuse for teacher appreciation week? When Ivan was  in kindergarten I had Jamie and Aunt Dottie help me do this owl display. Then I've just re-use  it when I need to.

 

Christmas in March

 We finally got to celebrate Christmas with my side of the family. In March. In December Jamie got Covid and boy did she get Covid. She was deathly sick at home for more than a week and then ended up in the hospital for a week. My mom and dad got it and did ok. We were able to take my dad in to receive the anti-bodies. He slept for most of his sickness. By the time everyone recovered and could find a time to do it it was March. I think we combined it with Jack, Jared, Ivan and Emerys birthdays too. Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday.

Emery turns 10

 Emery has wanted to have a sleep over soooo bad for soooo long. For her birthday we decided to have a couple friends over to spend the night. Zoey wasn't able to, but Clara and Slaone did. The 4 of them are a cute little gang. They are all a grade older than Emery, but the best of friends. So we celebrated sleep over style with them and then later she took her 5th grade friends to Airborne for a party.

7 on 7 Las Vegas tournament and Ivan turns 14

Ivan is doing 7 on 7 football this spring. There is a club called UC Elites he tried out for and made a team. Their first tournament  was in Vegas. (other than the mesquite one he did as a guest player for a different team). Mike took him and Justin and Sharon and they had a nice little trip. 

Battle of the Books

The battles have begun. I've been helping out with the battle every year since Ivan started them in 3rd grade. All the classes from 3rd and 4th grade battle each other. All the classes from 4th and 5th battle each other.Emery's group made it to the finals for the 3rd and 4th grade.  The last two groups to battle for the win was hers and another little group from her class. The other girls beat them but just a couple points.
