July

This week(now 2019) we have started to read from the beginning of our 2010 blog book. We read a little bit together every night. It's really fun to go back through memories. There are days where I've been so detailed about what we are doing. Right now I'm so far behind on blogging that I can't include much detail. I'm just throwing up pictures a month at at time. Hopefully I can get caught up in the next week or so and then I can try and do some daily posts. Anyway- July is always so full. The past show's that we have.....
*The 4th of July
*The Ute stampede
*The 24th of July in Panguitch
*This year we went to Idaho the last week

I feel like I'm packing, unpacking, packing and unpacking all month long. This year for the 4th we didn't end up doing our neighbor bbq, which was kinda sad. Hopefully we'll be back on for next year! We went with grandma and Justin up to Park city and played around and then came back to our house and did our own little bbq. It was windy and rainy so we didn't do any fire works. The kids went home with grandma for a sleep over and me, Mike and Kate enjoyed a quiet evening.

Thats Jack upside down on the other side. Hard to see

Then the next day the girls and I took Sharon and cousin Hannah (Aunt Lisa came as well) to redeem the Christmas gift we gave them.... Afternoon tea at the Grand America.

I added this picture in because these boys have been playing together since they were about 18 mo old. For so many years they played together non stop. The last year or so they've been involved in different things and the "playing together" is just different as you get older, so it has been a while since I'd had all 3 of them together at my house. I love it when they are all together hanging out.

July backyard play

July inside play-This little Kate! She is so fun to listen to when she's playing and she's so good at entertaining herself.

My friend Katie turned 40. We got 40 balloons and started to fork them all over her yard, but it was so windy that they just kept popping! Tied to the chair was the best we could do with the balloons that survived.

Jack started tumbling at Saratoga Springers and doing great

Emery is sleeping in the corner of her room, under a very small umbrella

Weekend #2- off to Nephi for the Ute Stampede.
Of the 12 years I've been going with Mikes family, this is the first we went on any rides at the rodeo

We camped in tents (and the van) this year. Normally we stay in little cabins, but they were all full. It was fun to camp.

game room at the camp ground

Weekend #3- off to Panguitch- Mike can't ever go with us because the 24th of July is quarter end and he has to work. This year Ivan didn't go, because he had some "pre tryout" practices for football. And Emery didn't go either, she went with Mikes mom and Justin to Idaho where we'll meet up with them later.  Just me, Jack and Kate. I took Jensen and Jared with us.

If anyone wants to know what we do at the cabin, this is it.
We Play Cards

Weekend #4- Off to Idaho. Little miss Emery was a lucky girl and got to spend the whole week with Steve and Jens family. We were anxious to meet up with them and see her

She had an awesome time, they took such good care of her

We headed out after Ivan's football tryout friday night about 8:00. We drove to Blackfoot and slept in a hotel and then got up about 6:00 the next morning to get to Stanley.

We rode 4-wheelers

Fished

paddle boarded

explored the sights

Rode horses

Kate couldn't go so she, Mike and Sharon went over to redfish lake and took a boat ride

Then we all hung out at redfish lake for a bit.
Man the world has some pretty places

We shot guns

And just hung out with each other

This area in Idaho is so pretty. We had such a short, but such a great trip...
until we noticed the nail in our tire as we were ready to go home. We had to drive into SunValley and wait 3 hours for new tires. Ug
Last year it was the sores in my mouth, this year was the tire fiasco, next year will be the year!
Thanks Steve and Jen for a great time

In other news- Brady was suppose to leave for Texas the beginning of July, but had a little set back. During the school year he teased a girl in his class about breaking up with her boyfriend to go out with a friend of his who liked the girl. I guess she didn't like it and told her boyfriend. He didn't like that at all and met Brady in the parking lot looking for a fight. A fight didn't happen in the parking lot, but the last day of school he again, along with his friends, met Brady and his friends in the locker room after their gym class. He started pushing Brady's friend around, calling him on to fight and Brady took a swing at him. Unfortunately it got him just right in the side of the head and he went down flat and started to have a seizure. The kid ended up in the hospital for a few days. The kid has gang affiliation and so Jamie and her family started getting all sorts of death threats from people.

Anywho... The family didn't press charges, but state of Utah ended up prosecuting Brady. In all the unfairness in the world, the kid who came looking for a fight (twice) and then got one, has no consequences. Brady and his family get to plead guilty, do bundles of community service and pay all the medical bills.

Moral of the story, don't fun around with girls with big boyfriends
