Normally for Christmas our traditions include.... a Nielsen family party in Midway at Aunt Ronda's with my extended family. We spend Christmas Eve at my mom and dads with my siblings and the kids cousins. Sharon sleeps at our house Christmas Eve. Christmas morning we see what Santa Clause brought and, then Christmas Day we spend with Mikes side of the family.
Covid disrupted things a bit. Last year the world was just coming out of Covid, but we were able to get together for Christmas with lots of precautions. This year our family (except for Ivan maybe) ended up with covid, which prevented us from doing all our treasured traditions. It actually turned out quite nice. We had a nice dinner, just the 6 of us. We then made individual candy cane bread, some with cinnamon and some with cherries. Santa Clause still came, however the kids were sad Sharon and Justin weren't able to stay over. Over all is was a nice Covid Christmas.
